Centre of urban health & healthcare

Global health is increasingly determined by cities. Today, over half of the world’s population — approximately 4 billion people — live in cities, a  figure projected to rise to two thirds (68 percent) by 2050.’ Increasing urbanisation is not the only factor shaping global health. Economic prosperity matters too – and cities are the engines of national economies, generating benefits that reach beyond their own city boundaries. That is why we established the Centre for Urban Health & Healthcare (CUHH) at Imperial College London. At the CUHH, we create and connect multidisciplinary evidence to support policy interventions that improve urban health. Find out more here:
